Girder placement for the north spans of both Robinson Boulevard and Black Cat Road bridges will mean Interstate 84 lanes will be closed overnight Friday, Jan. 16, and Saturday, Jan. 17, Idaho Transportation Department officials said.
I-84 will be closed to all traffic from 10 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday and again from 10 p.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 18.
All traffic will be detoured off the freeway during those times. The detour route will be Franklin Road between the Garrity Interchange and the Meridian Interchange.
Girders were previously placed for the south span of the Robinson structure Jan. 2 and for the south span of the Black Cat structure Jan. 11.
As it has throughout the project, Robinson Boulevard remains closed from Franklin Road to Stamm Lane and Black Cat Road remains closed between Franklin Road and Overland Road. Completion of the bridge project is expected by early spring.
