The Ada County Historic Preservation Council and the Idaho State Historic Preservation Office are marking Idaho Archeology and Historic Preservation Month with a special presentation and the announcement of the six historic sites and structures that will carry the title, "County Treasure" this year.
The celebration starts at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 10, at the Hidden Springs Community Barn at the Schick-Ostolasa Farmstead, with a talk on mining and early development of the Boise Valley, followed by the awards presentation.
