Captain Candy Wrapper, 3-4 months, an English springer spaniel or Welsh spaniel was a little too much puppy for his Foster to Adopt home and is now available for regular adoption.
Springer spaniels make excellent house pets, but require daily exercise. They thrive on socialization and positive training: without it, they can become pushy and obnoxious. Springers need regular exercise. Captain was originally found on a farm chasing the livestock. He has a prey drive and may be able to develop that into a skill for hunting. The trainability required for a springer to excel as a hunter makes the breed a standout in other performance events. Cheerful and affectionate, springers love their families and like to stick close to their owners.
Captain Candy Wrapper is in Dog Adoptions at the West Valley Humane Society at 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and closed on Sundays. For more information on other adoptable pets visit www.westvalleyhumanesociety.org
