Penny, 9, is looking for someplace to call home. She transferred to MCR from another shelter, where she had been surrendered by her family. Penny might have attacked the neighbor’s small dog, and shelter workers confirm that Penny does have a high prey drive. However, she has done well with larger dogs — as long as they don’t annoy her. Penny might do better in a home without any other dogs. MCR staff recommends a slow introduction at the shelter to any other dogs in the family.
Penny is friendly and affectionate but not clingy, and has a lot of energy for a mature dog. She’s fond of exercise and of people.
