Nearly a year ago, Jamie Harrell stopped to help a motorist on New Year's Eve. Both were hit by another car on the highway. The man he stopped to help was killed at the scene. Harrell has since endured multiple surgeries and rehab, but his injuries left him legally blind. Despite that hurdle, Harrell is pursuing the things he loves to do—like photography.

One of the pandas at the National Zoo in Washington had some fun in the snow on Saturday, December 9. Mei Xiang frolicked and rolled down the hill as spectators watched. The zoo’s giant pandas are native to the cold climate of China’s western mountains and are more active during the winter month, the zoo said. The National Weather Service reported that just over two inches of snow fell at the zoo on Saturday.
Lt. Dana Borgquist with the Ada County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash on Sunday morning in which Jonathan Locksmith reportedly drove his vehicle intentionally into the fountain outside the Ada County Courthouse. Borgquist said Locksmith told police he was upset with the court system and wanted to return to jail.
