The chairman of the Republican National Committee has tapped the head of the Republican Party of Idaho to sit on a national ethics committee.
Norm Semanko of Eagle is one of 11 people on the ethics committee, which is tasked with "bringing greater transparency to the RNC," said party Chairman Michael Steele.
"I look forward to working with these exceptionally qualified men and women to bring about an era of openness at the RNC," Steele said.
Steele and Semanko attended Georgetown University Law Center together in the early 1990s. Semanko is an Eagle city councilman and executive director of the Idaho Water Users Association.
