U.S. Senate candidate Lt. Gov, Jim Risch has accepted an invitation to an Oct. 8 debate in Lewiston.

The debate, which was proposed by his Democratic opponent, Larry LaRocco, will be televised live from the Lewiston Community Center before a live studio audience. The campaign was invited to the debate by its sponsors, the Lewiston Morning Tribune and KLEW.

"I look forward to a positive exchange on the issues," Risch said.

The debate is the second that has both LaRocco and Risch scheduled.

The other, sponsored by Boise station KTVB (Channel 7) and others, is scheduled for Oct. 21.

LaRocco also has a series of joint appearances scheduled with independent candidate Rex Rammell.
