CALDWELL AT BOISE
Boise snapped a 17-game losing streak last week against Kuna and has a chance to win consecutive games for the first time since it opened the 2005 season 2-0.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN AT CENTENNIAL
One of these winless teams will earn its first victory when the Grizzlies and Patriots meet for the first time. Rocky Mountain is searching for the school's first win, while Centennial is trying to avoid dropping to 0-3.
EAGLE AT POST FALLS
The Mustangs will try to carry over the momentum from their win over Meridian when they head north to take on the Trojans. Eagle is the second team from the 5A SIC Division I to play Post Falls. Mountain View opened the season with a 28-6 victory over the Trojans.
4A SIC
Nampa at Skyview, 7 p.m.
BISHOP KELLY AT EMMETT
The Huskies narrowly missed out on upsetting the Knights in 2007, losing 22-15, and will hope for an advantage at home in both teams' 4A SIC opener.
COLUMBIA AT KUNA
These winless teams will be searching for their first victory of the season. Kuna has lost to 5A teams Timberline and Boise, while Columbia has been beaten by 5A Borah and 3A Fruitland.
MIDDLETON AT MOUNTAIN HOME
Mountain Home is aiming for its first 3-0 start since 2004. The Tigers have the second most productive offense (25.5 points per game) in the 4A SIC, despite scoring just seven against Caldwell last week.
3A SRV
Orofino at Weiser, 7 p.m.
NEW PLYMOUTH AT PAYETTE
The Pirates will try to match their win total from 2007 when they host the Pilgrims, a team they beat 21-6 last year.
OROFINO AT WEISER
Despite playing down a division, the Wolverines shouldn't expect an easy win against the Maniacs. Orofino was the 2A state runner-up last year.
2A WIC
HOMEDALE AT PARMA
The Trojans will try to regain possession of the Milk Jug after last season's 25-13 loss to the Panthers. Homedale has lost three straight, including two to 2A WIC teams.
MARSING AT NYSSA (ORE.)
The Huskies hope to avenge last year's season-opening 28-26 loss to Nyssa before they kick off their conference schedule next week at Nampa Christian.
MELBA AT GLENNS FERRY
Melba will try to become the third 2A WIC team to knock off Glenns Ferry this season. The Pilots already have shutout losses to New Plymouth and Nampa Christian.
1A EIGHT-MAN DIVISION I
SALMON RIVER AT CASCADE
The defending 1A Division II state champions head to Cascade to face a winless Ramblers team.
HORSESHOE BEND AT IDAHO CITY
After struggling to 0-9 last season, Horseshoe Bend heads to Idaho City 1-1 under first-year coach Tim Wilson. Idaho City, meanwhile, advanced to the playoffs last season.
TRI-VALLEY AT COUNCIL
Tri-Valley opens 1A Division I play against Council. Council is looking to earn its second league win and improve to 2-1.
