PRESTON MINTER, RB/DB

Minter, whose father Cedric starred at running back for Boise State from 1977 to 1980, returns to Timberline's backfield after rushing for for 366 yards on 92 carries last season.

The senior (5-9, 175) lacks size, but his quickness and speed allow him to weave through opposing defenses.

His father is the career rushing leader at Boise State with 4,475 yards. He also owns the single-game record for yards with 261 against Northern Michigan in 1978.

TYLER KNIGHT, RB/LB

Knight (6-0, 185), like many Timberline players, will play both ways.

He offers a change of pace in the running game, and his experience on defense should help diminish the loss of all-conference second-team linebacker Braden Tullis.

Coupled with Minter's speed-oriented running style, Knight's physical presence will give the Wolves' opponents something extra to think about when preparing a defensive game plan.

MADISON MANGUM, WR/DB

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound senior brings good size and athleticism to the receiving corps and secondary.

Mangum finished third on the team with 13 receptions last season for 134 yards, but the exit of 5A SIC leading receiver Sam Richter (28-514) and running back Braden Tullis (18-174) should clear the way for a breakout season by Mangum.

He also had two interceptions for the Wolves in 2007.
