We the People Liberty Day Parade


The We the People committee is planning a Fourth of July parade at 11 a.m. July 4 in Downtown Boise. Click here for more information.

Annual Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast


Where: Julia Davis Park; adjacent to the Band Shell on the West side.

When: 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Cost: $5 for adults, $4 for children

There will be clowns and face painting for the kids and continuous music for all to enjoy.

50-Year Celebration of Ann Morrison Park

The Boise Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a special program on July 4 in honor of the 50-year anniversary of the park. Children’s activities are open to the public and run from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The Boise Municipal Band will perform from 5:30 to 6:30 and a ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. For more information click here.

Ann Morrison Park commemorative posters, designed by Ward Hooper, will be available for sale at the information booth in Ann Morrison Park July 4.

General information about activities at Ann Morrison Park

· Ann Morrison Park will be closed the Fourth of July to vehicle traffic with a few exceptions

· Limited vehicle access will be allowed through the park entrance off Americana Boulevard to pick up river floaters. Vehicles must be attended at all times.

· The shuttle bus pick up for river floaters will have regular access to the park. Equipment rental at Barber Park will be open until 6 p.m. The last shuttle bus pick up will depart from Ann Morrison Park at 7:00 p.m.

· Handicapped parking is provided in the Ann Morrison Duck Island Parking lot off of Americana Boulevard.

· There will be road closures in the Crescent Rim area. Click here for more information

· No fireworks or sparklers are allowed in the park.

· Please leave pets at home.

· Consider bringing the following items: water, sunscreen, bug spray, flashlight and a blanket or chair to sit on.

· No glass bottles are allowed in the park.

· Please use recycle receptacles in the park for cans, plastic bottles and plastic cups.

· Alcoholic beverages are illegal within 250 feet of the Boise River.
