8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28; Saturday, Nov. 29; and Dec. 4-6. Visual Arts Collective, 3638 Osage Ave., Garden City: $15 at www.alleyrepertorytheater.clamcity.com and www.visualartscollective.com, $18 at the door. $9 for students with ID. 388-4278.

Alley Repertory Theatre's third play of its inaugural season has a dark holiday humor. Craig Lucas' "Reckless" is about the eternally optimistic Rachel (Buffie Main), who finds out on Christmas Eve that her husband (Steve Martin) has taken out a contract on her life. As she makes her escape, she meets Lloyd (Alex Robertson), who takes her home to celebrate with him and his deaf-mute, paraplegic wife (Christen Atwood). But nothing is as it seems.
