Even if Boise had a functioning comedy club at the moment, the Stand Uppity tour wouldn't stop there. No, this is "indie comedy," which tends to eschew traditional comedy clubs for rock venues like Neurolux, where comedians Andy Kindler, Marc Maron and Eugene Mirman will yuck it up for the hipsters on Saturday, May 17. If you're into Patton Oswalt, Flight of the Conchords, leftist humor and references to obscure college rock bands from the '80s, these jokesters might actually crack the facade of your ironic detachment. Just don't let anyone see you laugh.
