The Revolution Center in Garden City is pumping up the volume.
(No, not THAT kind of volume. There's no EDM or hip-hop in this latest spate of shows. Volume as in total number of gigs — and fans.)
The 2,200-capacity concert club will host a J. Cole concert this week that sold out in advance. And now it's booked four new concerts with one — indie-pop act Foster the People — that easily could be another jam-packed house. Club owner Creston Thornton says that Foster the People has been averaging 4,300 fans per night while on tour. "We expect another fast sellout," he says.
Also worth noting: The country-rocking Randy Rogers Band is making the jump from the 999-capacity Knitting Factory to the larger RevCenter. "We are moving them up to a bigger stage, bigger room, and the band is exploding nationally," Thornton explains.
Never miss a local story.
