Lindsey Stirling? The question mark was my initial reaction to news that the whirling, violin-sawing dubstepper will headline Outlaw Field on Tuesday, May 26. Stirling also performed last May in Boise, but at the 999-capacity Knitting Factory.
But then I remembered that the former "America's Got Talent" quarter-finalist sold out the Knit months in advance. I see that Stirling now has more than 6 million subscribers to her YouTube channel. Maybe it's time for a larger venue like the Idaho Botanical Garden's 4,000-capacity Outlaw Field.
Obviously, promoter Knitting Factory believes it is. Heads up: It's an early show, so get there early with your blanket or lowback chair. Music from special guests — currently unannounced — will start at 6 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 20 for $35 at TicketWeb.
