For the past several years, Doritos has held a contest for fans hoping to create a crunchy ad to be aired during the Super Bowl.
This time around, the payoff for winning "Crash the Super Bowl" is particularly tasty: Not only does the winner's commercial hit national TV, there's also $1 million and a "dream job" with Universal Pictures on the line.

The competition will be stiff. Last week, I spoke to the lead singer of glam-metal band Steel Panther about a fan-generated entry it helped create for the Doritos contest. The Los Angeles-based parody group opens for Judas Priest on Nov. 21 at CenturyLink Arena in Boise.
