For those about to rock — the Mountain Home Country Music Festival salutes you.
Singer and guitar shredder Brad Paisley has been announced as the third headliner at next year’s event July 31-Aug. 2.
The three-day party is expected to draw thousands of fans to see more than 20 acts, not including Treasure Valley musicians who will gig.
Other performers announced this morning include Thompson Square (who drew 7,900 fans at this summer’s Western Idaho Fair), literal bro-country band Parmalee (brothers and a cousin are in the group) and Lonestar (hey, your uncle needed a bone thrown his way, too).
Paisley joins two previously announced headliners at next year's inaugural festival: “The Voice” mega-star Blake Shelton (who sold out Taco Bell Arena in September) and figurative bro-country duo Florida Georgia Line.
The festival — to be held in a rural area 20 or so miles from Mountain Home up Idaho 20 — is sponsored by retailer Bi-Mart. The retailer already has its name on two other large country gatherings: the Willamette Country Music Festival in Brownsville, Ore., and the Cape Blanco Country Music Festival in Sixes, Ore.
You can find more information about the festival on Facebook.
And, remember, if you’re planning to party in the parking lot or camping area, it’s never to early to stock up on must-have red Solo cups.
