The event July 31-Aug. 2 is being sponsored by Bi-Mart, which also supports the large-scale Willamette Country Music Festival in Eugene, Ore., and the new Cape Blanco Country Music Festival in Sixes, Ore. Featuring more than 20 acts, it has all the makings of the Boise area's largest-attended country event of the year. Organizers are hoping for 20,000 fans or more. A third headliner will be announced, and I expect it to be significant: Miranda Lambert? Kenny Chesney? Brad Paisley?
The Mountain Home News is all over this puppy, indicating that the festival will take place "on the flats just northeast of the Highway 20 turnoff to Pine/Featherville, known as the Faulkner property, where a stage and campsite for visitors will be built for the show."
Camping will be available, as well as vendors and a KidZone.
Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Thursday. Details below.
