Author event: 7 p.m. Friday, April 29, Rediscovered Books, Boise. Shawn Vestal, the award-winning author of “Godforsaken Idaho” will be in the store reading from and signing his latest novel, “Daredevils.”
Brown Bag Book Club: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, Meridian Library Silverstone Branch, 3531 E. Overland Road. During the first week of each month sign up to attend the book club session. Receive your copy to keep at the Silverstone front desk and spend the month reading it. During the book club session, the library will provide a bagged lunch (or you can bring your own) and have a discussion. We will wrap up with a book-themed craft.
Independent Bookstore Day: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 30, Rediscovered Bookstore, Boise.
