NaNoWriMo – Come Write In FINALE: Monday, Nov. 30, 6 p.m., Meridian Library, Cherry Lane. It’s National Novel Writing month. Come join us at the Meridian Library for food and novel writing. This Come Write In session will be hosted by the Friends of the Library. There will be information about the Meridian Writes program and a prize drawing.

Book Club Holiday Party: Wednesday, Dec. 2, 7 p.m., Boise Public Library, Hillcrest branch. A monthly book club for adults. Participants choose a new book each month and meet for lively discussion. All titles are made available for check-out at the Hillcrest library. This month’s selection is “A Christmas Memory” and other short stories by Truman Capote.

Mayor’s Book Club: Thursday, Dec. 3, 6:30 p.m. Meridian City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Ave. Children in grades 3-5 won’t want to miss this chance to read, discuss and keep new books. Join Mayor Tammy de Weerd, a group of peers and local business leaders for the third of four meetings. When you sign up, you commit to attend monthly book club discussions through January.
