We will feature various authors and read snippets from selected books together, followed by a fun interactive activity. Scheduled for September are authors Jane O’Connor and her Fancy Nancy series as well as Mike Thayer and his Black Lagoon series.

Adult Book Club: “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 7 p.m., Boise Public Library, Collister branch. From this highly acclaimed, multiple-award-winning author is a stunningly ambitious and beautiful novel about a blind French girl and a German boy whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of World War II.
Family Book Club (all ages): “A Wrinkle in Time” by Madeleine L’Engle, Thursday, Sept. 24, 6:30. Gather the family together and join Meg and Charles Wallace as they journey to Camazotz to save their father from the evil powers of IT.
Katherine Howe book signing: Thursday, Sept. 24, 7 p.m., Rediscovered Bookstore, 180 N. 8th St., Boise. The author of “Conversion” and “The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane” will read and talk about her new book, “The Appearance of Annie Van Sinderen.”
