Get ready for Christmas. Well, not really but it’s time to make plans if you want to be part of the new “Traditions of Christmas,” an Idaho produced holiday blockbuster show in the vein of the Radio City Music Hall Christmas show that will be at the Nampa Civic Center in December.
Laura Little Productions, out of Coeur d’Alene, will hold auditions from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, and Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the Nampa Civic Center, 311 3rd St. South.
Little is a Broadway producer based in Idaho. She has produced this show for the past five years in Coeur d’Alene, and will do so again in 2016. She wants to bring the production to the Treasure Valley and make it an annual event.
Little is looking to cast 65 local people between the ages 8 and 80 for roles such as Rockette-style tap dancers, chorus singers and dancers and character parts. Rehearsals start in the fall and require one night of rehearsal each week week. The show is in need of children, teens and adults with varying levels of abilities.
Never miss a local story.
You’ll find character and role descriptions broken down by age and requirements, and more information about the show at TraditionsOfChristmasNW.com. Click on the “Auditions” tab and schedule an appointment via email with director Andy Renfrew.
Little co-produced the Tony-winning Broadway comedy “Peter and the Starcatcher” (2012), the Broadway musical “First Date” (2014) and the upcoming musical “Come From Away” that’s slated to open on Broadway in 2017.
