Boise’s Homegrown Theatre will produce Sarah Ruhl’s adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s fantastical biography “Orlando.” It’s a time-transcending play that finds our character first as a 16-year-old boy at the Elizabethan court. Then he mystically transforms into a woman and lives another 300 years. Ruhl’s poetic lyricism and Woolf’s text blend for a delicious romp through gender, love and time.
8 p.m. Friday, April 29, and Saturday, April 30; Wednesday, May 4, to Saturday, May 7, Ming Studios, 420 S. 6th St., Boise. $5 weekdays, $10 Fridays and Saturdays.
