Here's the 39th season lineup:
Never miss a local story.
The thriller "Dial M For Murder" will open the season May 30. Producing artistic director Charlie Fee will direct Frederick Knott's play that inspired the 1954 film noir classic.
Director Drew Barr returns to ISF to take on Shakespeare's magical romance "The Tempest, " which opens June 6.
Next up is "The Secret Garden, " directed by Victoria Bussert. The tale of a young girl who finds hope and heals tragedy in a forgotten English garden will opens July 4.
Shakespeare's ultimate tragedy "King Lear" will balance out the repertory season. Joe Hanreddy, who directed "King Richard III" in 2013, returns for the production. It opens Aug. 8.
September brings another musical directed by Bussert: "The Fantasticks." It is one of the most popular musicals in history. It played Off Broadway from 1960-2006. The revival opened in 2010 and still is on the boards. Bussert’s production opens Sept. 5.
