“Stars of Steinway” will bring another season of its classical music series to Boise. Classical percussionist Mona Morrison and her husband Mike Winter founded the series in 2012 to help liven up Boise’s classical music scene. It’s worked.
Several new classical duos and trios have stepped up to perform, plus Morrison and Winter bring in a few visiting artists, such as this year’s performance by Spencer Meyer in November. Meyer performed Ravel’s Piano Concerto for the Left Hand at the Boise Philharmonic’s opening concert last season.
Each year they produce a bonus concert that happens at larger venues in the community. This year will pull together a host of musicians to play “French Connections,” works by Debussy, Ravel and Bizet in January.
Concerts are pay-what-you-can, with an email reservation in lieu of a ticket.
