Areva considers northern Idaho for possible locations for a biomass plant

Areva Inc., a French-owned nuclear services company, is scouting northern Idaho for possible locations for a biomass plant.
In December the company filed an application with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission for a $2 billion uranium enrichment plant near Idaho Falls.
Areva Vice President Bob Poyser told The Associated Press that the company is also looking for up to two possible locations in northern Idaho and Washington. The facilities would convert wood waste from the timber industry into electricity. Poyser said there is no timeline
