JOB CHANGES
Paul Davis Restoration in Meridian has announced the hiring of Kurt Matney for the position of job cost accountant. He will be responsible for job documentation and administration, accounts payable and receivable, processing of purchase orders, and customer service.
Matney is from Idaho but moved to Texas to serve in the U.S. Air Force. After 10 years in the military and a brief stay in Arizona, he returned to Idaho. He has more than 15 years of experience in the fields of finance and administration.
Paul Davis Restoration is a full-service restoration and remodeling company that specializes in loss mitigation, emergency restoration and reconstruction serving the Treasure Valley area.
RECOGNITION
The Idaho Neurological Institute of Saint Alphonsus has received the Joint Commission Accreditation of Hospital Organization's Gold Seal of Approval as a Primary Stroke Center for the second time.
Saint Alphonsus achieved this by demonstrating compliance with national stroke standards and performance measurement expectations.
GOOD DEEDS
Catholic Charities of Idaho received a $5,000 grant from Wells Fargo Foundation to fund the Powerful Families program. Powerful Families is a parenting class that empowers low-income families and caregivers to address key challenges and, in turn, lower their risk for entering the child welfare system.
Powerful Families has been implemented through a partnership between Casey Family Programs, Mercy Medical Hospital (Catholic Health Initiatives) and Catholic Charities of Idaho-Western Region.
Family Advocate's Court Appointed Special Advocate program recently received a $7,500 donation from the Fourth District Bar Association, $5,000 from Trust Mark Insurance, $2,500 from Bank of America Foundation, and $1,000 from Boise Inc.
Also, Office Max on Broadway, 100.3 the X and Albertsons SuperValu employees raised more than $2,500 in donated school supplies to children served by the Family Advocates Families First and Court Appointed Special Advocate Program.
Last year, poinsettia sales by Boise's Les Bois Kiwanis funded donations to St. Michael's Baby Steps Program ($2,500), Life's Kitchen ($500) and Family Advocate Program ($500). Over the past 12 years, the annual Les Bois Kiwanis poinsettia fundraisers have generated $150,000 for children's programs in the Boise Valley.
