Zions Bank was the top Small Business Administration lender in the region for the fiscal year ending in September, according to the Boise District Office of the SBA.
The Boise District covers all of Idaho south of Idaho County and the six most eastern counties in Oregon.
Zions made 163 SBA-guaranteed loans totaling $17.8 million within the district.
Following Zions in order of amount loaned was Wells Fargo Bank with 41 loans valued at $10.3 million; D.L. Evans Bank with 60 loans valued at $7.2 million; and U.S. Bank with 45 loans valued at $4.8 million.
Overall 526 SBA loans worth $93 million were made in the district during the year.
SBA offers a number of financial programs for small businesses that may not have access to conventional commercial loans.
