JOB CHANGES
Robin Dodson will be the student services director at the L.S. Skaggs Pharmacy Complex at the Idaho State University-Meridian Health Science Center, which will open Aug. 1.
The position was created as part of the expansion of Idaho State's Doctor of Pharmacy program in Meridian. The College of Pharmacy will offer 20 additional seats for the incoming class, according to spokesman Andrew Gauss.
Dodson is a former chief academic officer for the State Board of Education. During his tenure with Idaho State, he has served in numerous capacities, including a College of Pharmacy faculty member, adviser to President Arthur C. Vailas, ISU-Boise's chief academic officer, and special assistant to Boise's academic dean.
Dodson holds a doctorate in pharmacology from Washington State University.
Kristi Bowins has been named a senior property manager at Colliers International, a commercial real estate firm. Bowins has more than 15 years of real estate management experience, including asset management, property management and project/construction management.
Before joining Colliers, Bowins provided asset and property management services for a national firm and managed a portfolio that included nearly 50 properties in five states.
RECOGNITION
Anderson, Julian and Hull has announced that two of its founding members have been recognized by Mountain States Super Lawyers 2009 and "Super Lawyers, Corporate Counsel Edition 2009." This is a designation bestowed by fellow attorneys and ranks Robert A. Anderson and Brian K. Julian in the top 5 percent of the legal profession. Anderson has been selected for his expertise on insurance related matters, with an emphasis on construction law. Julian has been selected for his achievements in employment and labor law.
Gov. Butch Otter has appointed Paul Tierney of Nampa to the Idaho Council on Developmental Disabilities.
Tierney is one of five new appointees on the 23-member council. The council is authorized by federal and state law to advocate on behalf of Idahoans with developmental disabilities.
Tierney and his wife, Richelle, are the parents of three children, including a son with autism. Together, Paul and Richelle served as president of the Treasure Valley chapter of the Autism Society for six years. He has worked for Idaho Parents Unlimited and served on its board of directors. He is a 2003 graduate of the ICDD's Partners in Policymaking leadership development program.
