Another Treasure Valley employer is cutting costs by cutting employees.

Plexus Corp. said Tuesday that it has cut 35 full-time and 100 temporary employees from its Nampa work force because of the deteriorating economy.

After the layoffs, 460 full-time workers remain on the job, the company said in a news release.

Plexus, based in Neenah, Wis., is an electronics manufacturing and engineering services company with customers in networking, wireless infrastructure, medical, industrial, defense and aerospace industries.

“We are committed to the Nampa site and believe it is strategically important location to us in our North American service offerings,” said Ginger Jones, Plexus’ chief financial officer.
