A family that owns two Pepsi-Cola bottlers that cover much of southern Idaho has announced its intent to sell to the third largest Pepsi bottler in the country.
Nagel Beverage Co. of Nampa and Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of Twin Falls say the sale could be completed by February.
The two companies, led by CEO Vance Miller, trace their origins to a business established in 1895 by John Nagel Sr.
Nagel Beverage has been in the Nagel family for more than a century and employs about 150 people, according to the company's Web site.
The two companies are expected to be sold to Pepsi Bottling Ventures, which serves 8 million customers in North Carolina, New York, Delaware, Virginia, Maryland and Vermont.
The sales price was not disclosed.
