1QTR 2009 Group Coaching Program: The 12-week program (Jan. 6 through March 24) will be led by international speaker, author and success coach Johnna Johnson. With more than 16 years in the professional development industry, Johnna has pin-pointed 12 golden "core" strategies that help professionals get crystal clear on what they want and to pull out all the stops and make it happen. Town Meeting: As part of their ongoing communications with the community, Sen. Les Bock, D-Boise, and Reps. Grant Burgoyne, D-Boise, and Elfreda Higgins, D-Boise, will hold a town hall meeting for District 16 at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 6015 Glenwood St., Garden City. University of Idaho's 2009 Snake River Sugarbeet Conference: Jan. 8-9 in Twin Falls. The conference's general session will kick off Thursday afternoon at 1:45 p.m. at the Canyon Crest Event Center, 330 Canyon Crest Drive. Sugar beet geneticists from Betaseed, Inc., and Hilleshog Seed will outline what's on the horizon for biotechnology in sugar beets, and molecular biologist Imad Eujayl of the USDA Agricultural Research Service in Kimberly will describe the impacts of molecular genetics on sugar beet growers. Beginning with registration at 8 a.m. Friday at the College of Southern Idaho's Fine Arts Auditorium, concurrent sessions will address a broad range of requested topics affecting today's growers.
