JOB CHANGES

The St. Luke's Health Foundation has named Celeste Keller director of major and planned gifts.

Keller will lead the development and integration of a comprehensive major and planned gift program. Keller will work with St. Luke's leaders, members of its boards and committees, and professional advisers.

Keller was vice president of community relations at Wells Fargo, where she had a 25-year career. She led the bank's contribution, philanthropy and volunteer activities in the region.

Her volunteer involvement includes the St. Luke's Children's Advisory Board, St. Luke's Children's Hospital Board, the Fundsy "Day of Event Committee," Bishop Kelly Capital Campaign Committee, St. Joe's Crab Feed Committee, and the planning committee for the National Assembly of State Arts Associations/Idaho Commission on the Arts. Keller was also honored as the individual recipient of the St. Luke's Health Foundation Luke Award in 2005.

RECOGNITION

Jeffery Mandell of The ERISA Law Group P.A. in Boise has been named to the Best Lawyers in America 2009 for his achievements as an employee-benefits attorney. Mandell was also recently named to the 2008 USA edition of Super Lawyers.

Since 1982, Mandell has specialized solely in 401(k), pension, health and other employee-benefit programs for Idaho companies and throughout the country, achieving their objectives and resolving their problems. He is a former adjunct professor of law and speaks and writes frequently on ERISA topics.

Eagle family physician Vicki Wooll, M.D., M.P.H., has joined the Genesis World Mission board of directors. Wooll has served on Genesis medical mission trips to India, Kenya, Ecuador and Mexico. She obtained her master's of public health at UCLA and studied medicine at the Central University of Venezuela. She performed her medical residency at the Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. Wooll is the president-elect of the Ada County Medical Society and has served on the board for the Idaho Walk to Emmaus.

Kent Mann, a Parma cattle feeder, was chosen the new president of the Idaho Cattle Association during the association's annual convention, business meeting and trade show. Mann has been active in the association for 20 years and has served as president-elect, vice president and a member of the board of directors. His Parma feeding operation handles 10,000 head of cattle per year. He succeeds Jennifer Ellis of Blackfoot.

Other officers elected were Carl Ellsworth of Leadore, president-elect; and Charles Lyons of Mountain Home, vice president. New board members are Susan Goodrich of Rathdrum; Aron Bennett of Grandview; Jay Faulkner of Gooding; Scott Kesl of Salmon; and Ron Eliason of Holbrook. Also newly elected are Bruce Mulkey of Salmon, representing the cow-calf industry; John Bryan of Gooding, representing the purebred industry; Matt Jones of Eden, representing the allied industry as director at large; Zac Skaar of Lewisville; and Lyndella Bauchman of Challis, as cattlewomen board representative.

GOOD DEEDS

Catholic Charities of Idaho has received a community grant totaling $5,108.60 from The Fred Meyer Fund for the Stamp Out Hunger in Boise program. CCI's Stamp Out Hunger in Boise program is designed to help families that qualify for various hunger relief programs be aware of and be able to access those services.

The fund's community grant program is driven by 29 advisory committees made up of local Fred Meyer associates from each Fred Meyer store, plant and warehouse. The advisory committee members research nonprofit organizations in their communities and then award community grants.
