JOB CHANGES
Stanley Consultants has hired two senior engineers. Holly Johnson, P.E., and Kathryn Levihn, P.E., are working in the firm's Idaho office at 2264 S. Bonito Way, Meridian.
Johnson, a principal environmental engineer, has 19 years of regulatory and consulting experience in wastewater and water. She is experienced in the planning, design and management of municipal projects including wastewater treatment plants, sewer alignment studies, trunk sewers, lift stations, sewer collection systems and domestic water distribution systems. A licensed professional engineer in Idaho and Nebraska, Johnson has a bachelor's and master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska.
Levihn, a principal transportation engineer, has 30 years of experience as a civil engineer. Formerly deputy director at Ada County Highway District, Levihn has managed complex programs and projects, most recently in transportation. She is recognized for developing a prioritization system credited with improving satisfaction of jurisdictions and saving departments time and money. Levihn has degrees in civil engineering and international relations from Stanford University and is a licensed professional engineer in Idaho and Wisconsin.
Isaac Squyres, a key member of Gallatin Public Affairs' Boise office and a top communications specialist in the Northwest, has accepted a post as chief of staff for U.S. Rep.-elect Walt Minnick, D-Idaho. Squyres has been with Gallatin for three years. He grew up in Boise, headed Gallatin's strategic communications and media relations practice group, and managed the firm's re-branding and Web development efforts during 2008. Squyres served as one of Minnick's top campaign strategists.
RECOGNITION
Therapeutic Associates Inc. clinical director Matt Booth, DPT, has been selected as physical therapist of the year in Idaho. Booth is a board-certified orthopedic manual therapist with extensive history and training in the Boise region. This award is an honor within the musculoskeletal world and health care field. It is presented annually to one candidate yearly by the Idaho Physical Therapy Association. Booth graduated with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Southern California, and has obtained board certification as an orthopedic certified specialist.
GOOD DEEDS
The Idaho Foodbank has announced two grants to assist the effort to end hunger in Idaho. The Office Max Community Fund, with the assistance of nominator George Harad, has granted the food bank $5,000 in support of the BackPack for Kids program. BackPack for Kids provides backpacks full of food for hungry children to take home over weekends, which is when school breakfasts and lunches are not available. The Steve Leuthold Family Foundation, at the direction of trustee Dr. Linda Leuthold Donerkiel of Kuna, has granted the food bank $4,000 toward general operations.
