The overall theme and design of new homes at the Chatham Towne community in Boise are modeled on classic New England design principles and interiors straight out of a Pottery Barn catalog - literally. Model homes in the development are decorated exclusively by Pottery Barn furnishings.
"During planning, we said: 'Turn a page in the Pottery Barn catalog, and that's what a room in Chatham Towne should look like,' " said Dan Clark, development coordinator for Ted Mason Signature Homes. "Then a crazy idea came to me: Why not make it a whole package? I thought I'd call Pottery Barn and see what their response would be to working with us and furnishing the model homes."
Boise designer Katie Christensen created the interior designs, which have Pottery Barn furniture and accessories for sale. Pottery Barn has about 200 retail outlets nationwide, including one at Boise Towne Square mall.
Chatham Towne, a Ted Mason Signature Homes community, held a grand-opening celebration Friday and Saturday, complete with a holiday boutique featuring local artists and a Pie House filled with treats.
Chatham Towne consists of 15 two- and three-bedroom townhomes at the northeast corner of Meadowlark Drive and Five Mile Road in Boise. For more information, call 338-0420.

Children's home gets a new logo and center
The Children's Home Society, Warm Springs Counseling Center, Boise, has opened a second counseling center in Meridian. The Warm Springs Counseling Center, West Campus, is located off Eagle and Overland roads in the El Dorado Professional Center, 3023 E. Copper Point Drive, Suite 205.
The Children's Home Society has created a new logo in an effort to create consistency among its business lines that include a counseling center, foster care and training. The logo design was inspired by the sandstone from which the society's historic building on Warm Springs Avenue was constructed.
Services of the agency, which includes the Warm Springs Counseling Center, are mental health, education and training to children and families; The Bridge, focused on improving the lives of children in foster care and the foster care system in Idaho; and Warm Springs Training Institute, a training program for mental health professionals who serve children, adolescents and families.
