Idaho Youth Ranch has announced details about its new e-commerce initiative and an online used-book Web site that will support at-risk youth and families in Idaho.

The initiative is the nonprofit’s first venture into online used book sales. On average, 1,500 books are donated each day to the Idaho Youth Ranch through thrift stores, distribution centers and residential pick-ups.

Nearly 10,000 books have been rated, scanned, tagged and cataloged for sale on four popular e-commerce book sites, including Amazon.com, eBay’s Half.com, AbeBooks.com and Alibris.com.

Used book buyers who prefer to buy books directly from the Idaho Youth Ranch online site can visit the organization’s storefront at www.amazon.com/shops/idaho_youth_ranch_books.

Prices range from $1-$10, with textbooks and collectibles priced $25 and higher.
