The Vandals avenged an earlier loss at Boise State with a 25-16, 25-18, 25-20 win in Moscow on Thursday night. It won't be long until Idaho (15-14, 11-5 WAC) and Boise State (7-21, 7-9) reacquaint themselves with each other, as they will meet in the first round of the WAC Tournament in Las Vegas. Idaho, the No. 3 seed, will take on Boise State, the No. 6 seed, on Monday.
IDAHO WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The Vandals dropped a 54-51 overtime game at Eastern Washington. Idaho, which led by 12 points with 6 minutes, 39 seconds remaining, was led by Bianca Cheever. The junior guard had career highs with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
• The Vandals have signed four new recruits: Coeur d'Alene's Kelsey Bybee, a 6-foot-3 post player; Alyssa Charlston, a 6-1 wing from Redmond, Wash.; Ashley Walters, a 6-4 post from Wilsonville, Ore.; and Adrie Shiels, an Australian who will be a junior next season.
BSU GYMNASTICS: The Broncos are ranked No. 19 in the GymInfo 2010 Women's Gymnastics preseason coaches' poll.
BSU SWIMMING AND DIVING: The Broncos have received letters of intent from Olivia Harrel (Springfield, Mo.), Chelsea Miller (San Antonio), Rachel Heaney (North Bend, Ore.) and Ciera Cortney (Las Vegas), They will compete for Boise State as freshmen in fall 2010.
