The Boise State women's gymnastics team is ranked 19th in the preseason coaches poll. The Broncos moved up four spots from their 2008 final season ranking of No. 23.

Seeking to mold its team into a national level contender, BSU co-head coaches Tina Bird and Neil Resnick have built a challenging 2009 schedule. The Broncos will face 17 opponents, none of which finished the 2008 season below a No. 43 ranking.

IDAHO MEN'S BASKETBALL: Joe Kammerer has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Vandals. Kammerer is a 6-9, 250-pound post from North Eugene (Ore.) High. He helped his team to an Oregon 5A State Championship and a 27-0 record in 2007 and a sixth-place finish at the state tournament in 2008 with a 25-4 record.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Janee Olds hit six 3-pointers as the Crusaders defeated Cascade College 106-69 in a non-conference game in Nampa.
