The annual Beat Coach Pete Scholarship Run/Walk Saturday April 9, 2011.

The fifth annual "Beat Coach Pete" Scholarship Run/Walk will be held on April 14 at 9:30 a.m. Boise State's spring football game is scheduled for the same day at 5 p.m.

LAS VEGAS — Tyler Shoemaker converted disappointment into opportunity.

Boise State wide receiver Tyler Shoemaker formed an immediate connection with quarterback Kellen Moore on the scout team in 2007. That chemistry has been on display this season, as Shoemaker leads the team with 59 catches, 959 yards and 15 TDs. “He just continued to get better and this year he really latched on to being that senior leader for that (wide receivers) crew and taking advantage,” Moore said.
