Members of the Oregon National Guard's 173rd Fighter Wing who spent the summer at Gowen Field will begin returning home Tuesday, according to the Oregon Military Department. The move should be wrapped up by next week.
More than 200 Guard members and 22 F-15 fighter jets from Oregon moved to Boise while the runways at the base in Klamath Falls were repaired and upgraded. The temporary arrangement was expected to inject from $3 million to $5 million into the Boise-area economy.
