BOISE - During a week when a coughing cat woke its owners, saving them from a house fire, when a man and his lost dog were reunited after police found the hound in a North End drug bust, it was impossible to ignore a Friday morning tweet from the Idaho Humane Society: "Missing a parrot? Stray parrot waits in our humane enforcement office. He won't talk."
Dee Fugit with the Humane Society said animal control officers apprehended the bird Thursday at Ivywild Park in South Boise.
Just after 9 p.m. Friday, the Humane Society sent out an updated tweet: "Case of the missing parrot has ended happily, the parrot has been returned to its home at Zoo Boise.
