A 19-year-old Boise man was charged with aggravated battery after police said he broke into a house, beat up a couple and vandalized the man's car Sunday morning.
Justin C. Cate, 19, also is charged with burglary, malicious injury to property and stalking.
Police said Cate broke into the house near the Broadway Avenue/ParkCenter Boulevard area around 8 a.m. Sunday. The man was taken to the hospital with severe facial injuries. The woman's condition was not released by police. Police said the woman knew Cate.
Cate also is accused of using a brick to damage the man's car as he ran from the house.
