Boise cyclist Armstrong wins time trial in California
Kristin Armstrong beat second-place finisher Alison Powers, a former national champion, by more than a minute at the Amgen Tour of California in Bakersfield on Thursday. Armstrong covered the 18-mile course in 39 minutes, 59 seconds, for an average speed of 27 miles per hour.
