Boise Nationals, Idaho Rush of Boise, FC Nova of Meridian and Indie Chicas of Nampa account for all but two of the club teams that will play for state championships during the Idaho State Cup on Monday at the Simplot Soccer Complex in Boise. The winners of each age group — U-13 through U-17 boys and girls, plus U-19 boys — will return to Simplot for the Far West Regionals tournament in June.
Much of the Ridge to Rivers System originally was established by trespassers. And many of the people who owned that land have worked with the City of Boise to legitimize those trails. Such was the case with the 2014 agreements between the city and Grossman Company Properties, which allowed Ridge to Rivers to add 26 miles of scenic and strategically important trails to the system. The key additions: Peggy’s Trail, Sweet Connie, Dry Creek and Shingle Creek.
The new park is West Boise will offer expanded opportunities for water sports, biking, swimming, strolling and more. The park is under construction in West Boise with a scheduled opening date of spring, 2017.
