Jarred Bossio fired a 7-over-par 77 in the the NCAA West Regional at the Stanford University course to finish in a tie for 51st. He finished the 54-hole event at 7-over. Pepperdine’s Josh Anderson was the medalist with a 14-under 196, while California won the team title with 25-under 815.

Junior Trish Gibbens, a Caldwell High graduate, shot a final-round 83 on Friday at the NAIA Nationals in Tennessee. Gibbens, who was in third place after the first round, was the only Coyote to play in the final round of the 72-hole event.

Vandals WR McRoyal killed in California
Idaho wide receiver Ken McRoyal died early Sunday morning in Los Angeles. The school confirmed the 22-year-old McRoyal’s death, but did not disclose details.
