While on a visit to the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games Thursday in Boise, Idaho, United States Vice-president Joe Biden announced the appointment of Kareem Dale, standing to the right of the vice-president, as the new special assistant to the president on disabilities policy. The announcement came during a tour of health programs offered to athletes headquartered at Boise State University during the week-long games.
