Rex Rammell, a former elk rancher and candidate for Idaho Governor, must pay $29,000 in fines imposed by the Idaho Department of Agriculture, the Idaho Supreme Court has ruled.
The Idaho Supreme Court has upheld a ruling from The 7th Judicial Court.
The state Department of Agriculture fined Rammell for violations over the way he operated a private game reserve.
But the Idaho Supreme Court also vacated part of the District Court's ruling that Rammell and his wife, Lynda, must pay attorney fees and costs for appealing the agriculture department's ruling.
