A small number of Idaho Lottery tickets sold for Powerball Saturday night were printed in error, lottery officials said Sunday.
Idaho players who purchased a Powerball ticket between 8 and 8:52 p.m. Saturday are asked to call Idaho Lottery offices at 334-2600 or 432-5688 to determine whether ticket replacement is necessary. Each Powerball ticket has a unique time stamp on the front of the ticket above the serial numbers and the bar code at the bottom of the ticket.
Beginning with the Jan. 7 drawing, there will be a new game matrix for Powerball with different eligible numbers than in past games, and those tickets went on sale at 8 p.m. Saturday.
But some tickets printed during the upgrade to the new matrix were printed in error, said Zeke Chemodurow, Idaho general manager for INTRALOT, Inc., the Idaho Lottery's lotto-systems provider.
