After the Harvest Home Food Preservation: Three-class series at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 8 S. Midland, Nampa. Provides the basics of home canning and freezing as well as why it is important to follow up-to-date and tested guidelines and safe recipes from reliable sources. Also includes a hands-on home canning experience of both high-acid and low-acid foods, including use of both a water-bath and a pressure canner. Cost is $35. Registration deadline is Aug. 1.
