Payette River's whitewater is prime

Posted by Pete Zimowsky on July 15, 2014

All the forks of Idaho's Payette River are providing excellent whitewater rafting and kayaking this summer.

Escape the blasting heat of the Treasure Valley with the splash of the Payette River less than an hour away.

Outfitters offer full and half-day trips, and recreational rafters are also streaming down the river.

Here's a video shot last week on the river, and we'll also have a full-blown story on rafting the Payette River in the July 17 edition of Idaho Outdoors.

Keep on paddling.
