Boise Hawks beat Eugene, win three-game road series

EUGENE, Ore. - Ben Wells earned his first Hawks victory of the season, and an Alex Tomasovich safety squeeze provided the go-ahead run in a 6-2 victory Sunday night at P.K. Park.

Wells (1-2) surrendered one run on six hits in six innings, striking out five and walking two. Tomasovich fueled a four-run fourth inning, which included an RBI fielder's choice by Mark Malave and RBI singles from Calvin Graves and Rashad Crawford to put Boise (16-14) ahead 5-1.

The Hawks earned their fourth straight series victory after winning Friday and losing 5-2 to the Emeralds (13-17) on Saturday.
